I have excellent timing!

I’m in Bloomington with some of my favorite people ever. We’re cooking a massive Indian meal right now. The smell is unbelievably amazing! Yum!!

THE MENU:
Brinjal Bharta (Eggplant Pate)
Punjabi Chicken Curry
Moongsprout Salad
Aloo Paratha (Potato Flatbread)
Apple Raita (Yogurt Dip)
Jeera (Cumin) Rice
Rasgullas (Indian Cheese Dumplings in Sugar Syrup)

She’s Baaaaaack!!

Sunitha’s back in the country for a year or more. I couldn’t be happier! I Pownced about it earlier, but I decided it really was worthy of a blog post.

Today, I found out that Sunitha, one of my favorite people on this earth, has moved back to America (to Bloomington, Indiana) for a year or maybe more to finish her dissertation.

She’d been back in Bombay trying to get it written, but there were too many distractions there. We spoke twice today. It was so great to hear her voice, hear her struggles with getting work done during unstructured time (she knows my pain!).

I love this woman so much. I’ve missed her terribly. And now I’m going to get to talk to her regularly and actually see her IRL some this year. I’m so excited!!

My Indian Lady is on her way home to Mumbai. 🙁

OK. I think Helen likes me, but she definitely doesn’t know what to make of me. She stared at me all weekend! My guess is that she kind of remembers me since I was around so much for her first year on earth, but she’s just not sure.

For this next one, I will ask you (dear readers), "What in the world are we looking at?"
