Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

OK. I think Helen likes me, but she definitely doesn’t know what to make of me. She stared at me all weekend! My guess is that she kind of remembers me since I was around so much for her first year on earth, but she’s just not sure.

For this next one, I will ask you (dear readers), "What in the world are we looking at?"

“What in the world are we looking at?”

A UFO bringing Elvis, Bigfoot and Judge Crater to Bloomington for some R&R?

🙂

It’s gotta be a funky looking or sounding bird in a tree maybe?

And by the way, it’s nice to see a lady like myself who prefers skirts to shorts. You have some nice ones, very fashionable. : )

Thanks, Dianne. I’ve been on a skirt-buying frenzy lately. I really like A-line skirts since I have big hips and a small waist, and they are all the rage right now, so I’ve been able to find them really easily and really cheaply! The week before my dissertation, on the way back from Clarksville, Aaron and I stopped at the Gap outlet, and there was this mega-sale on them. I went a little crazy! I think I have like 6 new skirts, and they were all between $10 and $18 bucks! Yay!! I don’t know what the hell I’ll do with them when I get to Boston!

Phew. Sorry. Total girly moment there.

OK, what we are looking at is a red cardinal that was just screaming its head off. We’d been discussing the crazy bird sounds when I noticed their source, all coming from one bright red boy cardinal up on the power line. I think he was a bit randy! But not for me in my pretty skirt. No, he presumably was after the girl cardinal hanging out in a nearby tree.

Stupid cardinal should get his priorities in line.

I knew it was a wacko bird! We use to have a male cardinal nose dive into our bay window for several years in a row! He was probably seeing his own reflection and fighting with it.

Speaking of skirts-how do you like the peasant style skirts from Old Navy? They are taking me back to the 70s! ; )

And little Helen is sure a cutie pie.

I haven’t seen them. I usually like peasant skirts.
