Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Vote for Change Tour

By Abby at 12:54 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2004

OK. Like I said, I’m trying to be a good liberal, so I’m listening to Air America. Mike Mills from REM is on the Al Franken show talking about the Vote for Change tour of the swing states. I’m really glad this is happening. I wonder if it will make a difference. At least we can try!

I’m having it with Scott and Michelle at their place. They were out of town last weekend, but I had their key, so I went over and filled their house with all my stuff to sell. Aren’t I a nice friend?! Actually, I did call and warn them that I’d done it. I don’t think I’d want to come home to other people’s stuff with no idea of how it got there.

Liberalism is Fun!

By Abby at 8:37 am on Wednesday, August 4, 2004

My friend, Adam, has a great link on his blog today. Check out Day in the Life of Joe Republican. Adam has also reminded me today that I keep meaning to listen to Air America, so I can be a better crazy liberal. I mean, Janeane Garofolo is on a lot, and she’s enough to make me get political AND consider dating women (even though she isn’t gay herself). I LOVE her.

One more interesting tidbit… This woman’s dying wish was for you to vote against Bush.

Pretty Ladies!

By Abby at 11:55 pm on Tuesday, August 3, 2004

Michelle, Sunitha, and Poornima. OK, so they are a bit yellow. I still love this picture. It’s from last night. I made pasta and a super-tasty dessert (vanilla and ginger ice cream with strawberries, crushed ginger snaps, and shavings of milk chocolate on top). Afterwards, we played the Pop Culture Trivial Pursuit game. Fun times! I’m really gonna miss my peeps when I move, and I move so very soon!Posted by Hello

Perhaps Dory Can Help Me

By Abby at 12:32 pm on Tuesday, August 3, 2004

Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills… You know what you gotta do when life gets you down? Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming swimming swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim, swim. OH HO HO How I love to swim. When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim, you want to swim.

Uh oh. I think I’m Mr. Grumpy Gills. And I’m supposed to be Dory, Dory who suffers from short-term memory loss. Man, that’s familiar! Wait. What was I saying?
