Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

This coverage from London is really freaking me out, since it’s the area of London I know best. For most of the 10 years my ex and I were together, his mother lived off Brick Lane. We always used  either Aldgate East or Liverpool Street Station to go to his mom’s house, which is where we always stayed. The walk to either station was about 5 minutes. Luckily, none of his family live in that area now, but to see reports from across the world in a place I know so well from years of visiting… It’s really strange. I’ve spoken with his family in London, and they are all safe, but these are not minor blasts. The death toll is 40 right now, but you know how these numbers tend to rise.

Here’s the area. The red arrow is where she lived, and the red blur connects the two stations between which the train was traveling when the blast occurred. There were other bombs, but this is the one that I’m talking about:

Brick Lane!

It had been WAY too long since I’d seen my very favorite "Little Red Monkey," so I go looking online, and I come up with THIS! TOTALLY WRONG! That is the incorrect little red monkey (see "incorrect bagel"). THIS is the correct Little Red Monkey. I bid you good day, sir! {SLAM!}

When I first saw Tom on Oprah a few weeks ago, I didn’t have the benefit of the rest of the world agreeing that he seemed insane, but I posted about it to my friends on Tribe… about how his display of affection made me REALLY uncomfortable. I can’t tell you how enjoyable it is for me to see everyone else getting creeped out by his behavior.

And so, it was bound to happen. I present to you…

Morgan Spurlock’s next episode of 30 Days is called "Straights and Gays in America." He says on his blog that this is one of the eps he’s most proud of. I’m TiVoing it. Hope there’s time to watch it. I was in Indiana all weekend and in the car all day yesterday getting back here.

Is it just me, or does it seem like open source and Google Maps combined make the world’s coolness increase at a previously unfathomable rapid rate? Was that a real sentence?
