Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Man has good taste!

Barack Obamas Favorite Music Playlist

Inclusion of “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye is a particular highlight for me.

John McCain has a playlist, too, today, I’m feeling Barack. YES WE CAN!

McCain *has* a playlist? Wouldn’t his ‘playlist’ really be a tattered stack of Henry Mancini LPs?

Jeez, how do you find this stuff!? Yahoo, it only took me 5 minutes to vote today! I knew what the local news was saying about long waits was whack.

Renee, The local media wasn’t whack. The problem was mostly that blacks have never before voted in great numbers, and the election boards parceled out voting machines and assigned precinct workers based on past history. Thus, when blacks showed up in great numbers, the polling locations were not prepared for them. You don’t live in a predominantly black neighborhood, so they were properly prepared for you, and you didn’t have to wait.
I was mostly impressed at how patient and good-natured those waiting were.
