Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Let’s All Calm Down, Everyone!

Everyone on Flickr is FTFO because of the introduction of videos on Flickr. My only gripe is that they are all lumped in with the photographs, which I don’t think works, but I’m sure they will get that worked out soon enough. The older I get, the more I see that people just HATE change. They really do. I must admit that I don’t really get it. I love change, and I love the adventure of seeing what comes next.

Speaking of which, if you’re new to the Raleigh Group on Flickr, let me recommend that you never ever EVER dare to suggest they change the monthly meeting day. You will be sorry. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

heh heh … Gilligan is a superstar.

But is true … people HATE change. I’m with you, change is good, it’s adventures, it’s challenging, it keeps us going and learning and active.

I am on the fence about Flickr video — I think it’s fine that they want to have video in some way, but I also think it undermines the position of Flickr as a photo site a bit. Now it’s a media site. If they had done it in a way such that every Flickr user could create a video page, that would have been better in my opinion (though people would still complain).

Doesn’t bother me at all that they added video. I don’t care either way. I have seen FTFO you are referring too, which IMO – overreaction and yes, in my experience the majority of people are extremely uptight and anxious about change. Change is a catalyst for growth, adventure, experience…fun :o)

RE: FTFO
I keep thinking of that scene in the henhouse in Chicken Run when they all gobble gobble in a great panic.

So much drama! Sigh…
