Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Strikes Boston

By Abby at 12:58 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2007

There was a bit of a disaster in Boston yesterday… well, sort of. Either that, or a marketing campaign gone horribly awry…

OR DID IT?!

Now even my mother knows what Aqua Teen Hunger Force is!

Here is a video of the guys hanging the offending objects:

Here’s the official apology on Adult Swim:

If you want to see the chronology of reports go from serious to not-so-serious over the course of yesterday, check out Bostonist or Universal Hub

Speaking of things striking places, snow struck Raleigh today:

Howie Carr actually said it best:

“Anyone under the age of 35,” said one of the protesters, who was somehow able to get a day off from work, “knew this was a joke the minute they saw it.”
Yeah, anyone under the age of 35 who still lives at home with Mom, wears a baseball cap backwards and is saving money for a new tattoo.

I am under 35 and I like to wear my Boston Red Sox hat backwards. I know exactly what these little “devices” were as soon as I saw a picture. I think its pretty close minded to put everyone who watches the show in the same category. I am ex-military with a good job going to school full time with all my tattoos already in place. Well almost all of them, I guess I am saving, Hah. Yea right this is a joke it has to be. There is no way that the authorities are really considering punishing a broadcasting company for an advertising scheme, comparing them to terrorists that killed thousands of innocent people(and themselves for that matter!)! I, for one, can’t stand that rationalization. It has been used for a few years now to justify an entire set of lies that just so happened to send me to a war zone in Iraq. They said the Brits found evidence of WMDs, which turned out to be entirely false. Then they enacted the patriot act, giving free reign to political zeolots to do as they wish simply because the government is so threatened they can’t handle the strain of their positions. People are dying everyday because of decisions made with faulty information but we are now focusing on a couple working artists that created a simplistic little Nite-Brite of Ignignokt as the next set of anti-christs. Good call to all you Bush wackers, way to validate the stupidity of our “leaders” man I wish I could move to another country but then I would be the illegal immagrant and they will boot me out quicker than we let them in.
