Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Emack & Bolio’s Gone for Now

Emack & Bolios
I saw on Universal Hub that Emack & Bolio’s looked closed. I emailed the shop, and this is what I heard back:

Thanks for your email. At the present time the shop is closed. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. It is our intention to reopen the shop early spring after we have made some changes to both our product line and the shop itself. I hope to see you there at that time.

Weird. Last time I was in there, I noticed that they were about to start charging for WiFi, which I was bummed about.

Charging for WiFi? How retro! The Roslindale E&B started out charging for WiFi, then went free.

Also, I suppose if you’re going to close an ice-cream shop for renovations, winter’s the best time to do it. Ron’s in Dedham Square is usually closed in the wintertime.

Hmmm… this seems odd. Isn’t there some sort of statistic about cold climated populations consuming lots of ice cream?

*I* eat plenty of ice cream in the winter (to build up those protective layers of blubber!)

JP certainly seems into ice cream year-round. Maybe the problem is JP Licks. But the coffee… that was really the only place to sit and read and drink coffee.
