Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Billy Bragg by Brad

All hail Brad! There was really no way in hell I was going to have time to do a proper review of the Billy Bragg gig, although I so wanted to. He’s just saved me the time… AND uploaded an mp3 of the entire gig. Between that and having the guy accidentally push the $2 off button at JP Licks by accident last night (and not wanting to bother with finding the manager to void it out), I think this may be my lucky week! Things are looking up!

Thanks, Brad! 😀

So, as I’ve done numerous times, I spent a few minutes clicking around from a hyperseed planted by Abby on her blog and I see this photo at Jill Sobule:

This is a photo showing the “luxurious backstage area at a club in Germany” and I had a sense of ‘deja-vu’. Then, I stumble on a photo of Jill with a musical chap named Mark Eitzel:

…and what I am sure of is that the ‘luxurious backstage area’ must be a little club in Munich where I caught Mark Eitzel around 1993 and had a visit with him along with a Munchner friend of mine who was a fan of Mark’s in the very same luxurious backstage area. I feel quite certain about it and once again thank you for the stimulus.

Sorry to learn of your nadir week. I had one myself on account of physical problems which I think are easier to endure than the existential type that you are grappling with. Any solace in the “this too shall pass” cliche?

See ya soon sweetheart and hang in there.

xx

It’s passing. And yes, there is comfort in those cliches. Did you see me with her?

And you’re welcome for the stimulus! That’s a groovy looking lounge. 😛
