Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

When Models Think

By Abby at 8:03 pm on Friday, November 18, 2005

I’m scoring a stack of assessment protocols, and Aaron is bloglining. We TiVo’d Tyra Banks earlier this week, and we’re watching it now. Tyra has invited Naomi Campbell, apparently her arch nemesis, to "process" their shit. It’s so bad, and yet I can’t look away. It’s bad – maybe not as bad as the episode where she put on a fat suit and kept saying, "I’ve dressed up to look like a woman who is OVER THREE-HUNDRED FIFTY POUNDS!"

Gotta share a little of this… Naomi Campbell on sexual abuse and rehab:

I was in the desert, and I just was like, you know what? It’s something that I want people to know that rehabilitation should be taught in schools. Because it’s something once you know the tools, you know when you’re not happy, when to say I’m not happy and take some time out… There’s a lot of like… you get so secure…

Need I go on?!

Tyra and Naomi are average-IQ’d, pretty people who think that because they have important jobs and are famous, that they have important things to say. Tyra wants to be Oprah. Naomi wants to be spiritual. It’s sweet to watch them try, but lawd, they don’t have half a brain between them.

Now they are crying. Why am I watching this?!

that is soooo frickin’ hilarious. it’s about time they admitted to their feud. back when black models were rare, they wouldn’t even work the same shows, all the while saying that they were friends. bah. now they’re being eclipsed by the new black supermodels and desperately trying to revamp their careers with this publicity. whatever. next you’re gonna tell me tyra banks is finally gonna admit to having her boobs done. or maybe that was publicity stunt #1.

Um…isn’t that a little early for rehabilitation, Naomi? Since they are just children shouldn’t we start with just habilitation?

“habilitation” is good].

Being famous is hard work. Look at Paris Hilton.

Rule One: If being beautiful is your thing, don’t try to parlay it into the Orpah thing until you have something to say worth saying. Cause looking vacuous on T.V. takes the mystery out of the beauty, and…
