Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

I saw this show at Oberlin during the school year, and it was the first musical I saw that I really, really loved. When I found out they would be doing the show again at commencement, and that the woman in the chorus who sang the REALLY high notes couldn’t do it again, I auditioned and got in. It was an experience of a lifetime. The woman I replaced ended up singing on broadway (lead in Les Miz, I think), and the guy who played Joanna’s love interest (oh, what’s that character’s name again) was Will Chase, who has had a very successful Broadway career. Even the director was amazing. I think it was David Dobrusky (bio on this page)… or am I now making stuff up?

And now Johnny Depp is going to be in the movie version. Hoorah! It’s such a great story. Chilling, funny… can’t wait!

For Bostonians only: Have your lips been unseasonably chapped in the past week? Mine have – like Krispy Kremes! And an informal poll tells me that I’m not the only one. In my informal poll, I have asked 5 people who live in Boston Proper who all agree that lip chappage is way up, especially for the summer!

• Guy: You could wear that any night of the week in Vegas! You look great!
• Me: Thanks! Now how am I going to get to Vegas?!
• Guy: I would suggest via Airplane. Just don’t bring any shampoo with you! haha, too soon? If you are married, you should probably ask your husband, "Honey, can you buy me a ticket to Vegas so I can wear my sexy green Dress?" he will say "Certainly Dear, I love you" … if you are not married, that’s when you call me 😉 😉 (wink, wink!)
