Food Advertising Cookbooks From History

What an amazing site! My favorite part is all the old advertising cookbooks. They have the full cookbooks scanned in. They are fascinating.

Of course, my favorite is the Quaker Oats cookbook

Here is a little plug for a cheese factory!

Here are some very interesting-looking desserts in an advertising cookbook for food coloring!

I missed the "metaphorical train wreck" opposite the Super Bowl. How do I know this? I just read an old post from my own blog. I suck!

Something Just Ain’t Right Here

By Abby at 1:34 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2005

So let me get this straight. They found a body in the park the other night. It went to the medical examiner’s office. The last Memphis medical examiner was found by a security guard in 2002, chained to a stairwell at his office, bound in barbed wire with a bomb tied to his chest. People think he did it to himself, that it is a case of factitious victimization (when someone claims to be a victim to get sympathy). He was indicted. Here are a few articles about it. I hope the new medical examiner is better. I’d like to know what happened to this woman.

In other news, a cop was shot in the park last night.

You know, I’m feeling a lot less foolish about getting that iron grate installed on the window of my back door now.
