Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Aaron’s birthday was September 1st. It wasn’t the best day for a birthday this year, but we did manage a visit from Scott and Michelle, a trip to James’s Gate, and a real live ice cream cake from J.P. Licks!

These are some pictures from Jamaica Plain, my new neighborhood. It’s so lovely!

Tons and tons of pictures on the way. I’m going to break them into a few posts so you don’t break your browser. The first is of Jeep in the cab of the Penske truck. The words "Diesel Fuel" are interesting, since this picture was taken on the day the hurricane hit the coast. Days later, our already very expensive trips to the gas station would have been much worse. Also, at the time this picture was taken, we had no idea of the scope of the disaster occuring:

I’ve been trying to think of the quote about judging a government by how it treats its weakest members. I Googled and searched all over with no results, but Ask MetaFilter came through as always. The answer is a non-answer, but it’s an interesting thread to read nonetheless.
