It’s Peanut Butter Wiki Time

By Abby at 11:26 pm on Thursday, July 7, 2005

I have a Peanut Butter Wiki. It’s the coolest thing ever! I’d show you, but it’s sekrit! Actually, Aaron and I have one together. We are both making lots of calls about Boston apartments, and we keep all of our notes in the wiki. We can both add to it, and it’s always accessible online. I’d always wanted my very own wiki. Now I have one. Still don’t know what a wiki is? Guess you weren’t following the rules of the blog! I’ll help. Here ya go! (I totally just sent you to a wiki to learn about wikis. I ROOL!) I  my wiki because it’s free and it’s really useful. It’s as easy as making a peanut butter sammich!

If you wanna wiki like me, click on the sandwich NOW!

Update: I’m such a dork. I just got another one for myself! Now I have to think of something to do with it! I’ll figure something out.

Nother Update: Here’s a really excellent wiki article about today’s London blasts.

That partially undone sandwich looks like it has jelly or bacon on it as well. Why no raisins? When do you move to where ever it is you are moving to. I’d assume Boston since you are looking for Boston apartments, but that’s just an assumption only older guys would make. G’luck to you in this stressful time. Don’t go filling out that stress test thing until all of this is settled. Are the apartments in Boston a lot more expensive than the Memphis ones?

Yes, Boston it is! No raisins? Truth is, if I was making the sandwich, it wouldn’t have plastice white bread either!

Oh, ye of discerning eye. I would never have thought that to be other than ordinary old white bread. Yeah, peanut butter, jelly and raisins. One of god’s gifts to mankind.

What is all this wiki stuff? I’m serious. I have a headache and it all just looks like a bunch of crap. Is it just me or what? Please help me understand.

Okay, I googled and I still don’t get it. And if anyone can edit an article, what’s to keep all the freaks from fucking things up? I also don’t get all that i41 crap from a previous entry. Hey, I’m just a housewife, man.

Haha! You’re cracking me up, Renee. I don’t meant to cause you a headache. A wiki is something that is easily edited. It’s a great way to collect information from a lot of people, or just to keep info online for yourself. Other people can’t fuck it up, because it is private, and you have to have a password to make changes. Some Wikis, most notably Wikipedia, are public, so people can join and make changes. This is a great way to get lots of people in on the editing of a complex story or issue. The best example I can think of is this one I saw recently. In just over four days, there have been over 500 edits! With so many people in getting the story right, you end up with a wealth of information pretty quickly, which is handy as hell.
