Perv is Raw Foodie Chef Who Thinks Being a Flasher is No Big Whoop
Whoah! So the guy who exposed himself on the subway a few weeks ago has been identified and arrested. What’s really weird is that he is a co-founder and owner of a raw food eatery in New York called Quintessence. His name is Dan Hoyt, and here’s his bio:
Apparently, Mr. Hoyt thinks this is no big whoop. He received 2 days of community service for doing the same thing at the same station in 1994. I hope people don’t keep eating this guy’s food. I mean euuuw!! Thanks to the reader who shared the update with me.
Maps and Legends
As a power-surfer, I feel compelled to share some of the links I’ve found most useful or interesting. As a map addict (oddly, a map addict with no sense of direction), many of these links are to maps of the region since Katrina hit:
- Hi-res photographs of New Orleans post-Katrina.
- Link to 78 More high-res New Orleans Images.
- More images can be found here, here, here, and here.
- An article written in 2001 warning of the potential devestation a hurricane in New Orleans could cause.
- A woman named Katrina did a good thing.
- Katrina Help and Hurricane Katrina wikis.
- One business is staying in their NOLA building to try and keep their servers running. They are blogging and taking pictures from the roof that they are updating here and here.
Lastly, I’m here with tears streaming down my face. Download these two videos (Thanks, EJ) and watch them:

- On the Ground with Fox News (Yes, it’s Giraldo, but I’m so glad he’s there advocating his ass off for the people stuck inside the NOLA Convention Center): Quicktime, Windows Media
