Attack of the Enematic Bubblers
My friend Shannon got this e-mail from her gym on Friday:
Hello,
Please excuse this interruption of your day, this is your Aquatics Department Head at Lifetime Fitness giving you a friendly hello and wishing you a great day!
We have another piece to the puzzle concerning the frequent pool closures and are trying to share it with as many of our members as possible. The “bubblers” at the shallow end of the pool, those fountains of fun shooting up from the floor are great fun and entertainment for the young ones but we have noticed that the last two closures have been the result of older children not controlling their bowel movements and so believe that the “bubblers” also act as an enema. When children plant their bottoms on or above the jets they are at risk of losing control of their BMs.
I have been trying to inform parents with children frolicking in the “bubblers”. Once again they are a lot of fun, to play in, run through, run hands through and what not but children should not plant themselves over the jets.
I hope that this helps! See you on the pool deck!
