Dad Says We Need Another Deep Throat

I am pretty politic-avoidant these days, but my dad isn’t. Here’s his latest letter to the editor published in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution:

Nation needs an informant against Bush

Charles Colson’s saying that W. Mark Felt betrayed the trust of America’s leaders is remarkable. The Watergate scandal was the biggest betrayal of the trust of the American people to date.

We can only hope that a new "Deep Throat" will come forward with the truth about President Bush’s campaign to get us into the war with Iraq. The recently leaked British memo makes it clear that we have been betrayed again.

Your dad is right, we need another deep throat, but they should be named after some other porn film. In a historical context, I think we can blame Nixon for W, as we now expect to be lied to by our president, and will tolerate any moron who maintains some semblance of dignity in office.

Why else do you think the schlub promotes only those fanatic “loyalists” as prized above all else (competence, brains, work ethic, skills…) so he can “try” to ensure he has no “defectors” in high places. Add that to his efforts to seem as though it’s all *untraceable* back to him.

But with this electorate…who knows if it would make any difference even if it happened – They believe what ever FOX-not-news tells them.

The best quote I’ve read recently said something like: “Since Bush is already brain-dead his ideas can never really die…they’re Un-dead and live on like zoombies or vampires.” 🙂
