Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

I didn't find it torturous at all. Plus, I have no extra money now. So I will continue to not realize I'm being tortured! I got road tires though, so that's good!

It would be torture to do longer bike rides on a mountain bike. I used to have a hybrid and I've done 60 mile rides on that a couple of times ... it is very hard! If you feel richer someday, then get a real road bike. In my experience, it is waaay more fun.

You can keep track of events all over the US on http://www.bikeride.com.

Are you doing that ride, John? I might be into that. Honestly, I have to see if I can afford to get a bike rack and some lights! I'm on a pretty restricted budget right now.

Ian. Definitely. The days are long now, so I'm up for rides often. Only thing is, you'd better not get hit on that helmetless head while we're out!

You ought to consider doing <a href="http://www.durhamhabitat.org/bike/details.php" rel="nofollow">this ride</a> on the 18th.
