I know with the plastic ones eventually the edge wears a little, but I doubt aluminum will wear as much. I don't know if there is a good answer for this one. Seriously though, that does seem to be a real flaw. Apple fanboys will probably tout their improved posture they had to adopt to avoid being scarred for life on their macbooks.
