Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

I would like it if I could get a note put in my permanent record that says I'm REALLY ADD. I REALLY need my meds. And that I have ZERO history of abusing said drugs. Hell, I often don't even finish a beer. I'm not there to take advantage of anything. I am just trying to take care of something that has a negative effect on me and those around me. Can't I get something like that please?!

My doctor sees me every three months to talk to me about how the ADD meds she prescribes are working. She then gives me three months' worth of written prescriptions, and indicates on each script what date it can be filled. That eliminates the hassle of me having to go through the hell that you describe in your post, and I would assume it makes it less of a hassle for her as well.

Maybe ask if your doc can do this for you? It seems like a perfectly workable (and legal) solution.

Could you get your dr. to write out 6 or 12 prescriptions at one time - like, 6-12 prescriptions for 1 month of whatever - pick them up at the same time, and then just take 1 a month to the pharmacy? Or is that a cheater-way around the 1-month at a time rule and not allowed?
