My Early Voting 2008 Flickr Group
I started an Early Voting 2008 group on Flickr, and lots of people (144 as of right now) have joined and submitted photos – 375 and counting! It got a write-up today on Utata:

Waited 4.5 hours last Friday to early vote…totally worth it.

The local news in Atlanta last night showed people who had been in line 7 hours and were cheerfully sticking it out. I didn’t hear one grumble. They said they weren’t leaving until they’d been allowed to cast their ballots. And, they were almost universally black. One lady said people marched and got killed for her right to vote and she was going to exercise that right. Made me want to cry…
