Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Statement of Intention

Crap, OK. I’m heading to Weight Watchers today. It’s the first time in my life that I’ve tipped above the normal weight category. It was the surgery and cast time that put me over the edge. Gotta act now before I enter the slippery slope! Yuck…

Edited because the weight chart was bumming everyone out!

Weight becomes a challenge for many of us. Recognizing that it might be a good time to take action….is a good first step. Taking action is the next step. Great post!

I used to like it, until I went out of my range of acceptable weight. The people I know who hate this chart are the ones who no longer fit unto the healthy weight ranges. I liked this chart better when I weighed 145. 🙁

Good luck Abby! If it makes you feel any better, I am a Weight Watchers lifer. It is the only thing that works for me. I know that I’m a psychologist, and I should know better, but there’s something about getting that little yellow sticker every time you lose 5 pounds that made me try harder. And I still hate that chart, because I’m always teetering on the edge of “acceptable weight.” Ugh.

Yeah, it’s what works. When I try and do it on my own, it doesn’t work. I have to have someone checking up on me. Otherwise, I lose the plot. I’m not sure being a psychologist really makes us immune! In fact, I’m sure it doesn’t. We’re just people, right? Thanks for the solidarity. So far this week, I’m not too very hungry.
