Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Yeah, I still blog…

By Abby at 3:22 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2007

I blog when I feel like it. I haven’t felt like it. And I think that’s OK. Blogging and photography are things I do because I love them. If I forced myself to do them when I didn’t want to, it wouldn’t be as fun. The nutshell of things is that I’m licensed and trying to find a job, and I have a new camera. I’m trying to force my rudder to direct me somewhere good, but it’s not working the way I want just yet. I’ll get there. I really will. Don’t lose faith.

Why is my G9 stuck in a field in Nebraska?

By Abby at 3:20 pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Moment in Abby’s IM life. 7:30am, up to feed the cats. Online to check package status. Friend Fred pops up…

Abby: WHERE’S MY G9?! isnoop.net/tracking/index.php?t=1Z81E74W4259882789&i

Fred: THAT’S COOL isnoop.

Abby: It’d be cooler if it moved

Fred: where the FUCK is that?
it’s in some icy tundra

Abby: Nebraska, I think

Fred: it’s nowhere near any road
someone just tossed it out into a field

Abby: I KNOW!

Bestest Birthday Weekend EVAR!

By Abby at 4:13 am on Monday, November 19, 2007

I know I use superlatives a lot, but really, my birthday weekend was pretty exceptional! Brian and Shannon had this really great party for me, and a ton of my favorite people showed up. We sat outside on the deck by the fire, played Apples to Apples (which I’ve barely played since I left Boston), played Wii (I’m a little embarrassed that I’m actually SORE from it!), and had just a generally very fine time. I love my friends. I really do. I’ve done quite well for myself. What’s even MORE fun is that friends of mine who didn’t know each other before met and seemed to like each other. That’s always been a phenomenon I’ve really loved. Anyway, a few images from the fun (first three by Katy, who was an absolute STAR with the camera):

There was also a great Flickr meetup on Saturday at the former Bickett Gallery. Thanks, Molly! We had such a fun time. Check out the pictures.

I’m most proud of this slightly racy one:

My Late Yet Witty Birthday Entry!

By Abby at 6:31 pm on Thursday, November 15, 2007

Happy Birthday, Abby!

Originally uploaded by DottieboBottie

Whoops! I forgot that as a blogger, I am supposed to say something witty announcing my birthday so that people can tell me Happy Birthday. Thanks for reminding me, Nicole! I’m such a slacker lately. I am, indeed, a year older. Big THREE EIGHT. Eeek!

But as Shannon said just yesterday, I can run circles around most 20 year-olds. Yeah… It’s true. I can. Go me!

This picture was taken by one of my very favorite photogs on Flickr. If you don’t know her stuff, go take a look at her photostream. It’s DIVINE!
