We questioned them and found out they were the U.S. skeet shooting team who had just participated in a match. They told us it took them hours to go through security. They had to totally dismantle their guns for inspection and could not travel with ammunition. I found that reassuring. One minor correction, which is my fault: The guy didn't get caught at the Charlotte airport because it turns out he drove to Massachusetts - which I found out last night.
