Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Winston Stupid

On my way out to the Apex parade, and I’m remembering something very funny. A few years ago, I was out at the Office Lounge (this – dare I say – "redneck" bar) in Bloomington, Indiana for karaoke. It was the night of July 3rd. At midnight, things got really patriotic with songs like "And I’m Proud to Be An American." We weren’t the only group of cocky grad students there that night. There was one other. And one of the guys, who was completely trashed, screamed out, "Booooo, Britain! Tony Blair SUCKS!" with the best line being, "Winston Churchill?! More like Winston STUPID!!"

All is well. We’re on the boat, still in Budapest. Terrible connection so I’ll just say hello and remind you not to vote for any Republicans, ever.

Nope, don’t think I was there, just remembering the fun times re-living the story. 🙂

Oh fun! Yeah, we were being REALLY rowdy. I was just telling some Germans about that… how I was singing “Deutschland, Deutschland” at the top of my lungs, and the Americans there didn’t really appreciate it! I think I also did the French and Canadian national anthems, too!!
