All About Al (Attention NPR Heads)
You remember how my Dad’s blog is called 3 Old Men? You probably wondered who those other two old (quieter) men were. Well, one of them is Al. Al is quite a character, and he can deadpan a room into giggly fits lickity split. He also happens to be an amazing photographer who documented the civil rights movement. NPR did a piece on him today called “Al Clayton: Chronicler of America’s Poor and Hungry”. We’re all read proud!

While I’m talking about Al, I’d like to share a picture he took in the 80’s of RuPaul. There is a massive version of it at his home. RuPaul actually went to my high school before I got there, and I remember him looking like this. I actually remember seeing him at a civil rights march in Cumming, GA looking just like this.
