You know, I only heard about it online. We didn’t lose power at all, and I’m not sure exactly where it happened (although I could look it up). I just thought it was noteworthy and couldn’t be far (small neighborhood and all).

Hey Abby- I am reading your blog for the first time and am leaving a comment because a) it is a rule, b)i live in the bourne neighborhood and was witness to the truck vs. live wire fiasco. Lost our power for a full day, and were very cold. Good luck with post doc and what not (I am a clinical psych post doc myself; I feel your pain).

How close was this to you? Did you lose power?
