I woke up thinking about this. It took me a while to find it. Now it’s safe and sound forever on my hard drive. It’s my very favorite Onion story ever, from way back in August of 1999:

Sad story. Retarded guy loses job because working in a convenience store taxes his mental capacity, and in dispair walks in front of a bus. Sounds like a missed referral to social services to me.

Hmmm…a fellow Pennsylvanian. I like their reference to the guy as a dipshit, etc through out the entire article. I know why you liked this article-very similar to a Monty Python sketch. ; )
