Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

How Do I Look?

By Abby at 4:41 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2005

Just looking at my blog stats. Here is how people view my page:

Crawler/Search Engine, Indeterminable – 51%
Firefox 1.0.4 – 8%
Internet Explorer 6.0 – 7%
Crawler/Search Engine 6.0 – 6%
Safari – 1%
Older Versions of Firefox – 5%

I had the unfortunate experience of viewing my blog on Internet Explorer today. Man, if you’re using IE, what you see here is at your own peril. If you’re not using Firefox, I don’t know what to say to you, man! It’s your loss. Not only here, but all over the Internet. My site in particular looks like crap on IE. Please consider downloading Firefox:

I just looked at your site on Internet Explorer, and I wouldn’t say it looked like crap, more just not well planned. The most interesting difference was all the junk which started popping up out of nowhere.

Maybe that’s the reason you could never figure out what I meant when I said the email address to send to you at the blog address has one to many “er”s at the end of your “name”and before the “@”. I’ve always seen it on IE, so don’t know the difference since I’ve never seen ANYTHING on Firefox. Thus, none of your voting options fit as I don’t really have any comparatives.
Reads real good, though.

OK, OK!!! I did, and for sure it’s a lot better, though it reads about the same content wise (haha), but the graphics, etc look more in place and stuff. The email address snafu fro contacting you on this site cleared up nicely on Firefox. Go figure. That’s the reason you could never find it. Mysteries are sure fun to solve.
For some reason, firefox doesn’t give me all the bells and whistles in my email system (Yahoo) that IE does, but that’s relatively minor.
Thanks for the recommendation.

OK, I had to take a look at your blog in IE (can you tell I’m avoiding work?), and I agree with your mom (hi, Abby’s mom!), it’s not exactly unreadable in IE but it sure looks screwy.

There’s something weird about your stats though. You have two categories for “Firefox 1.0.4” and “Older versions of Firefox”. I just looked at my version, and my version of Firefox is 1.0.6 (I’m anal about having the freshest bits…). Does that mean all my page views aren’t being counted?

I don’t know. I have 1.0.6, too. I don’t know about the stats. In fact, I often forget to even look at them.

Is Netscape okay or am I behind the times? Your site looks good to me on it. Also on the Earthlink browser which I actually like better. Will look into Firefox I s’pose.
