Adventures with Dr. Lady Cutie Troublemaker

Life is in flux BIG TIME these days. I want to keep in touch with all of my peeps. The Internet is this beautiful thing. I can move to a brand new city and still stay in easy, near-daily contact with the people I love. When I feel connected to the people in my life that matter, I am unstoppable!

Let me preface my comment by saying that we (myself included) seem to be overly interested in gossip (yes, this has always been, but it seems more intense recently) and that we seem to want to mind other people’s business, or are told by the media that we should be interested in their business. That said, I found the article interesting specifically because it points to the issue no one has mentioned: Scientology.

Mr Cruise has a history of “converting” his wives: Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman and now little Katie Holmes. He unsuccesfully tried with Penelope Cruz, but I believe the reason the relationship ended is because Tommy could not make Penelope see the light. Of course this by-passes questions and rumors of his own sexuality and how the Church of Scientology may be a vehicle for him to hide behind.

…And of course…to put things in perspective…there are more important things like oh I dunno, the environment, genocide in Sudan, Zach still at LIA.

Yes, MUCH more important issues – absolutely. And yet, I’m somehow drawn to this one despite my better judgment. It still gets picked up on my radar. Conversion is a tricky, tricky, icky, icky thing. I’m not a fan.

I’m all for anything that exposes the creepy vileness that is $camitology.

If it’s a legitimate religion, I’m the fucking Grand Duchess Anastasia.

Having Adam explain being a “Duchess” to his wife should be interesting, but a liberal such as he professes to be should be a bit more tolerant. I as a moderate can indeed think what he wrote, but Adam??? I guess everybody has a blind spot or two. I did like the “$camitology” word, however.

Tolerate this, fuckface. **makes obscene gesture**

It’s not a religion – it’s a motherfucking scam. That’s all it is. A three-card monte game has more overt religiosity than L. Ron Hubbard’s moneymaking scheme.

Adam Is A Poe Of Profanity, A Shakespeare Of Swearwords, A Veritable Voltaire Of Vilification, A Fucking Ferlinghetti Of Filth.

Had I read his description of himself on his blog, I would never have chided him so on your blog. Sorry, Abby, and I apologize, Adam.

Not to post again.

Oh post again. Adam can take it, and I sure can. I loves me some good Adam rants and profanity. Nothing like it!

I will withdraw my personal attack and offer instead a profound apology for the bluntness of my response, Joe.

The $camitologists – and all the other two-bit con-artists and bottom feeders out there – kinda chap my ass. Chidings, even the politely worded and well-intentioned ones, tend to provoke a visceral emotional response far beyond the level society at large would expect or allow.

I was serious about apologizing as well. Water over the dam, under the bridge, et al. Oh, I do like the word. And, I’ve enjoyed your blog on the few times I’ve read it.
Now… write something else I can chide you about. Then I won’t and we’ll both feel better.

Abby, did you comment on your blog the last time you were home? My money says it was Dr. Abby’s Dad or Abby’s Mom.

Sorry. Abby used my computer when she was here, and the name automatically came up with her name. I didn’t notice. I’m the culprit, and I did swoon over Clever Joe’s post.

Hah! I knew it!

I’m a reg’lar Sherlock Holmes, I am.

With less cocaine and more profanity. And I don’t have a doctor sidekick, and I have never, to the best of my knowledge, solved any actual crimes.

Unless you count The Mystery Of The Missing Potstickers, but since I was the one what ate them, I don’t think it qualifies.

I’ll protecy your mom for you, Abby. It’s been 41 years since I had a lady swoon over anything I did or wrote, even though it wasn’t really my doing or writing. Thanks, Abby’s Mom. It ws the thought that counted. You made my day. Maybe I should get Josephine, my bride for 41 years, to read this section.

Friendly Joe,
I’m so happy to have made your day. I have to say I was much happier swooning over the words when I thought they came from a man married 41 years to Josephine. After all, I used to babysit Adam.
