Bad News/Blogging Trends
I read today that Zach will be kept in the program that is trying to make him straight for another 6 weeks. Ugh! Clearly, they are trying to make an example of him, but it really makes me sick. It’s clear that at this point, it isn’t about Zach’s best interest, it’s about proving some sort of political point, and that, my friends, is completely messed up. It goes against everything I believe in. As a School Psychologist, I am always looking out for the best interest of children, and when adults start using children as bargaining chips, as examples, as a way to seek revenge, I get really pissed off.
Since the beginning of June, Zach’s story has gained momentum in the blogosphere:
If you want to keep on top of this story, I recommend you use your favorite news/blog aggregator to subscribe to this feed. If you don’t have a favorite or don’t know what one is, and you’re reading this now, I really recommend you check out Bloglines.
If you’re ready to DO something, then please check out this blog post and then make a donation to EJ, because his poor bandwidth is costing him a lot this month!
Also, if you still have a little time…
I logged in to the GMail account I created for Zach a few weeks ago, the GMail address I advertised on Tribe.net, and there are now 50 letters of support there. I haven’t read them (I’m leaving them for his eyes only). If you are so inclined, please write to him and send him support at zach.inbartlett@gmail.com.
